Line of Sight - Interactive Tool

A special ed high school student was assaulted by another student. The school district argued that it could not have possibly occurred due to staff supervision. The goal of this project was to show the line of sight of the staff member who was supervising both the special ed classroom and the adjacent sensory room and to prove that the staff could not adequately monitor both spaces. To accomplish this, I created a playable tool in which the user can pilot the staff member and visualize the line of sight through doorways and windows in both a top down and a first person perspective, exposing the large gaps in vision.

The victim received a substantial settlement from the school district and the mediator cited this tool as a key element of the prosecution's case.
